NEW ZEALAND VISITOR VISA

A visiting visa (sometimes called a temporary resident visa) is a piece of paper that is inserted into the passport. It demonstrates that you meet New Zealand's entrance requirements.

WITH THIS VISA YOU CAN?

  • Visit friends and relatives, travel throughout New Zealand, participate in amateur sports, or participate in an adventure activity.
  • You can study for up to three months.
  • In your visa application, include your partner and any dependent children under the age of 19.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

To obtain a visitor New Zealand Visa, you will need the following documents:

  • Valid passport with at least 6 months validity when arriving in New Zealand, as well as any previous passports, if any.
  • Two recent 35mm x 45mm pictures with a white background
  • Forms for visa applications and a covering letter describing the purpose of the visit are required.
  • Itinerary and plane tickets for a round trip
  • Bank statements over the previous six months, as well as copies of international credit card statements
  • Employers must produce a job confirmation letter, as well as three months' worth of salary slips and the organization's original leave letter

HOW LONG CAN YOU STAY?

9 MONTHS

In an 18-month period, you can visit New Zealand as a legitimate tourist for up to 9 months. The 18-month period begins on the day you intend to leave New Zealand and ends on the day you return.

You must apply for a new visitor visa before your existing one expires if you plan to stay in New Zealand longer than your visitor visa allows. If you applied for a visiting visa to visit New Zealand the first time, the process to extend a visitor visa is the same as it was the first time
